Can we at least have someone who understands how the wealth collecting economy works? You all continue to think this is a game of chess. Politics is a game of chess with unlimited pieces. All republicans have to do is say something stupid and a new volcano erupts. While billionaires play checkers scooping up the wealth.

What the hell is this “loser stench” nonsense? Trump didn’t win by that much. Harris was the focus. Despite the patriarchy and white supremacist roots of the country literally voting against their own interests to stop a “black WOMAN” from ascending beyond her station, it was closer than people are saying. As an Australian I think Tim Walz is exactly the remedy. I’m convinced most US citizens, and the rest of the world, just want a “normal” person at the helm who is a decent human being. Also, if the election was held again tomorrow it would be a Democrat landslide.

I see former VP candidate Tim Walz’s politics trajectory being a similar vibe as VP Harry Truman prior to his succession then election to POTUS. Although not a direct path to the presidency FDR’s death opened pathways for Truman just as the withdrawal of Biden opened doors for Harris/Walz.

“He’s a loser” is such a lazy critique. Most eventual presidents are former “losers” in that many run for President multiple times (including Trump). He should run again. He has a national image now. With the right team, he could win the whole thing.

An overarching theme to the thoughts here is that he’s a loser. I can see how that is a valid critique. However, to be honest: In the before times, I would have agreed. The landscape has changed. Losing under the Harris ticket may not be the death knell it used to be. We saw a little of that with Bernie. He also lost, and we’re still talking about it. But, he hasn’t suffered the same fate as others have. In fact, I’d say he’s more popular and well respected than ever before. Obviously a lot can change before 2028, but, if we continue on the trajectory we are on with this regime…Walz does have the ability to overcome the loss, whether by fighting Trump as Gov, or due to a sense of “buyers remorse” across the country as things get worse.

Of all these commentators, Evan is closest to right. Let’s take down Mango Mussolini and the Space Nazi first. A legitimate democrat will emerge, IF, and yes that’s a very big if, the DNC doesn’t insert itself and fuck everything up yet again. That person might be Walz, or it might be any of a host of other people. It’s too early to tell. Let’s focus on wiping out the orange shit-stain.

After Muskolini get done with us, Mickey Mouse could beat any Republican, so this might be the time for us to get bold. I rather like the idea of Bernie Sanders and AOC as co-presidents and Walz as VP.

I really don't understand the 'loser' argument when Trump lost in 2020 and it didn't effect him at all in 2024. I really don't think the American people will care

in addition, i dont think anyone could have predicted the political environment and eventual dem nominee of 2020 way back in march of 2017. if there’s anything that should be top of mind throughout the remainder of trump’s term, its that he creates as many opportunities as he does catastrophes for the left to capitalize on.
